Review:
The O.C., also known as Orange County, California, is an idyllic paradise a wealthy, harbor-front community where everything and everyone appears to be perfect.
But beneath the surface is a world of shifting loyalties and identities, of kids living secret lives hidden from their parents, and of parents living secret lives hidden from their children.
'The O.C.' tells the story of the Cohen, Cooper, and Nichol families, and Ryan Atwood, a troubled teen from the wrong side of the tracks, who is thrust into this world,
and who will forever change the lives of the residents of The O.C. (--TV Tome--)
Why Do I like this show? The stories are something you can relate to with examples like: Teen pregnancy, confusion, struggling parents, bad decisions and making the right choices.
The stories will always capture something that has happened to you in one point.
The story is mainly about a Ryan, a guy from Chino who gets into trouble with his brother when they steal a car and have gone to a juvenile prison because of it. Ryan doesn't have to serve any time, but for his brother it's a different story, he has two years. Ryan's child lawyer explains to him that he is a smart kid and how he can make it in the world. Ryan knows this but still feels trapped inside Chino. The child lawyer named Sandy hands him a card telling him if he needs anything... call. Ryan goes home and his mom doesn't want him in the house anymore because he causes too much trouble. She kicks him out of their home. Ryan has no where to stay and no one to turn to. He tries calling friends but it seems that everyone doesn't want to help him... Ryan pulls out the card that Sandy gave him and calls him. Ryan's child lawyer feels sympathetic for him and decides to take him back to his home in Newport Beach, California. It's basically a story of how Ryan goes with Sandy to explore Newport for a few days while they try to figure out what to do with him. Will Ryan go back and live with his loser mother? Or will Sandy find a foster home for Ryan to stay in? Or will Ryan's world change when he might have a chance of never leaving Newport?
I'd recommend this show to anyone who is bored this summer and has Internet access because the 2nd season is going to kick and you don't want to be the loser missing out... do you?
